TreeSize Professional is a powerful and flexible harddisk space manager for
Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP. Find out which folders are the largest on your drives
and recover megabytes on them. TreeSize Professional shows you the size,
allocated and wasted space, the number of files, 3D bar and pie charts, the
last access date, the file owner, the NTFS compression rate and much more
information for several folders or drives you choose. It also lets you search
for old, big and temporary files. The application has an intuitive Explorer-
like user interface and it is fast and multithreaded. You can print detailed
reports or export the collected Data to Excel and to an HTML, XML or ASCII
file. TreeSize Pro can be started from the context menu of every folder or

KNOWN PROBLEMS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please report errors and problems to the e-mail address below. Here's a list
of known bugs and problems:
* The Excel export does not work if you run TreeSize Pro as a scheduled job
  and are not logged in while TreeSize Pro is running. It seems that Excel
  hangs in this case, but we are not sure what the reason for this is. We
  will try to support the Excel format natively in one of the next releases
  to overcome this problem.
* Great improvement: TreeSize Pro is now able to scan folders under Windows
  NT4/2000 to which the current user doesn't have access to. You just have to be
  logged in as Administrator or as normal user which has the right to perform
  backups. In previous version of TreeSize Pro you just got an "Access Denied"
  error message.
* New Option in the Options dialog which lets you choose if TreeSize Pro should
  follow mount points and symbolic links (new features of Windows 2000)
* TreeSize Pro now takes the file based compression of NTFS into account, when
  calculating the allocated space.
* Compressed files and folders may now be shown in a blue color. If only some
  files in a folder are compressed, it will be shown in dark blue.
  folders and files is shown. This is a very unique feature!
  option dialog to the toolbar.
  menu that allows copying or saving the chart and showing the chart toolbar.
* Added HTML export. You can either use File|Export|Save as HTML or the new
  command line option /HTML. HTML reports are more easy to read than text reports
  and you don't need to have a special application like MS Excel installed.
  We also added the new command line options /HTML.
* You can now open the software applet of the control panel easily from the
  toolbar of TreeSize Professional.
* Additionally to showing folders in bold that are larger than a certain
  percentage of the scanned folder, you can now also enter a fix value in MB,
  over that all folders will be shown bold. And you can apply these settings
  for printed reports too.
* It is now possible to scan all visible disk shares of a domain or server by
  entering the domain/server name like \\HOSTNAME in the drive dropdown box or
  by selecting it in the 'Browse for Folder' dialog.
* Under Windows 2000 TreeSize Professional sometimes followed the links in the
  personal nethood folder and started scanning all available shares in the
  network. This problem is now fixed.
* Under Windows 2000 the previous versions scanned mounted volumes (new feature
  of NTFS5) as normal folder, which produced wrong results.
* The problem that TreeSize Pro tried to scan the FTP connections of WS FTP Pro
  is now fixed too.
* To fix the above problems, we have completely rewritten the scan routine.
  As a result, scanning is now about 20% faster and needs about 70% less memory.
* A problem with corrupt toolbar images under Windows 98 with certain video
  drivers has been fixed.
* When a chart was printed, the summary values of the root folder were printed
  in the header instead of the values of the selected folder.
Version 2.3: Released on 24 Feb 2000
* It's now easier to check several files in the search window by selecting
  mutliple files with the Shift or Ctrl key and then using the context menu.
* You can now chose to move the checked files in the file search window to the
  recycle bin, to delete them from harddisk or to move them to a given folder.
  This allows you to easily archive or zip these files. The directory
  structure is preserved when moving!
* You can tell the Oldest file search to return only folders in which *all*
  files have not been accessed/changed since a certain date. This allows you
  to identify larger unused parts of a file system than only individual files.
* New charting engine: a better look and a smaller download size (an
  additional DLL is not required any more)
* The free space on a drive is included in the pie chart if a drive is
  selected on the left pane and the "Allocated Space" mode is active.
  the background.
* New command line option: /SEARCH:Internet will search for temporary internet
  files, delete all found files and terminate the application.
* New command line feature: /EXPAND xxMB will expand all branches larger than
  xx MB
* The File Search is faster with large results.
* A minor problem under Windows 2000 has been fixed.
  mode
